I started shooting film in the 1980's, mostly glamour and events. These days I still shoot events, senior photos, real estate, and horse shows.

I most enjoy photographing people doing something they enjoy, whether it's playing music, riding horses and other activities, and as such I tend to be drawn to fairs, festivals and horse shows.  I prefer to shoot outdoors and in available light. The Pacific Northwest provides a wide variety of backdrops.

Horse show assignments have been the most challenging so far. The combination of action, low light, depth of field, and shooting in available light require interesting solutions.
